At Tosoh Finechem, we have always taken a proactive approach to helping customers reduce the costs associated with the production of chemicals like polypropylenes and polyethylene, the performances of which are greatly affected by polymerization catalysts. In 1967 we began producing titanium trichloride for use in polypropylene polymerization. This established us as a pioneer in the field of petrochemistry, plus contributed greatly to the development of numerous petrochemical plants in Japan in subsequent years. In 1977 we developed technology to produce modified titanium trichloride as a Solvay catalyst, acclaimed both domestically and internationally for outstanding quality. Such accumulated expertise enables us to supply customers with highly active catalysts that not only meet the requirements of the most sophisticated manufacturing technology, but also can be tailored to a customer's unique needs. |
